Obituary - James Hintz

Dear Carol, both Jim & I were heartbroken to hear of Jim’s passing today. He was such a sweet man, always with a ready smile for everyone he met. I know how close you two were & I pray that you will be able to wrap yourself in the wonderful memories that you made together. Jim will always be with you in your heart Carol. We are so sorry to hear about Jim’s passing. He was truly one of the kindest people — always greeting us with that warm, friendly smile. We always enjoyed seeing Jim and Carol at events around the city, especially whenever Derek was performing. His presence brought such a comforting and familiar energy, and he’ll be missed dearly by all who knew him.

Please know we’re thinking of you and your family during this difficult time. Jim leaves behind a legacy of warmth and kindness that won’t be forgotten.

My heart is heavy with the loss of Jim. I never saw him without a smile. Carol you and Jim showed all you met what true love was about! God created two Angels on Earth- you guys! I feel strongly the angels arms carried him to our Saviour. Memories in the heart remain always, and I am sure his legacy lives within family, yourself Carol and all who greeted him! The rain that falls on your cheek is him saying “ I understand”, thunder is but him laughing with you all. Gentle breezes is him gently wrapping his arms around you. In every season he walks beside you. God needed an angel thus calling him home.

Oh Carol, how shocked and saddened we were to read about Jim this morning. He was such a kind man, full of life, faith, and always smiling. That's how we will remember him. It was a terrible shock to learn of Jim's passing. When attending Derek's performances he was so wonderfully alive, engaged and supportive... always smiling and visiting with others. I have known you since 1977 and see you around town often. I am so sorry to hear of your loss of your husband. I too just lost my husband in February and I sure understand all the hurt and feelings that go with such a loss. Take care of yourself and lean on your family and friends. Nothing changes the fact and there are no words to describe what we are going through but we have to move on as hard as it is, to be here for our families.
