It is with a great sense of loss that we announce the passing of Allan Seacome Church who passed away peacefully in Medicine Hat at the age of 86 years. He is survived by his two sons, Bob (Wanda) and their family, Carson, Sarah (Ryan) and Kyle (Teanna); Kelly (Imelda) and their family, Nicole (Desmond) and Ryan as well as three great-grandchildren, Chase, Adelaide and Barret. He is also survived by his sister, Kathleen of Nipawin as well as many nephews and nieces who were special to him. Allan was predeceased by his wife, Etta in February of this year. He was born on November 12, 1934, in Nipawin Saskatchewan. Dad loved the “Oilpatch” and spent a lifetime working his way up through the various positions associated with the “Rigs.” Along the way he developed many lifelong friendships. These are people he talked fondly about well into his retirement almost 30 years ago. Allan will be laid to rest beside his beloved wife, Etta in the Carstairs Cemetery with a private service of remembrance.

We grieve with you with the passing of Alan. Enjoyed listening to the grandsons on Thanksgiving going back and forth sharing characteristics and stories of their grand dad. He was well loved.

I was surprised and saddened to see the obituary for Allan in the paper today. He was a schoolmate of mine at Cherry Ridge School in the 40's and other than for one visit at a Cherry Ridge reunion, I've not seen him since. My condolences to Allan's family. I wish I could have known you.

Bob, when I, Judy, think of your dad, I think of the UGG elevator in Carstairs. Did he come to visit you there? Along with the other old faithfuls? “Those were quite the old times”, says Bill.
He is enjoying heaven today, reuniting with your mom, because of you, Bob. What a gift you and Wanda gave to them both.
With love and prayers, Bill and Judy Snyder
