Obituary - Lyle-Phillip Bachmier

Mr. Lyle Bachmier, beloved son of Leo and Irene Bachmier of Medicine Hat, passed away peacefully at his mother and father's home on Saturday, January 15, 2005, at the age of 42 years. Along with his mother and father, Lyle leaves to cherish his memory his brothers whom he loved very much, Hart, Joe and Randy. He loved his two nieces Kassy and Cheyenne very much, and he will always be remembered by his many uncles, aunts and cousins, as well as his God-mother, Mrs. Ann (Val) Steinkey. Lyle had a great love for all of his family. He had a caring heart and finished many of his sentences with "I love you very much". Lyle was an avid sports enthusiast and enjoyed hockey, football and baseball. He was a big fan of the Montreal Canadiens, the Medicine Hat Tigers, the Dallas Cowboys and the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Before being afflicted by illness, Lyle played baseball, hockey and football. One of his highlights was reaching the provincials with the Optimist Dodgers of the Medicine Hat Minor League Baseball Association. Lyle also loved music and played bass guitar in his youth. He attended Fox Valley Elementary, Seven Persons Elementary, St. Mary's Junior High and McCoy High School. Cremation has taken place. Close relatives and friends were invited to Prayers at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 - 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat, on Thursday, January 20, 2005, at 7:00 P.M. The Funeral Service will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel on Friday, January 21, 2005, at 2:00 P.M. with Deacon Robert Risling officiating. Interment to follow at a later date.
