Ron’s memory will live on through his family: son, Robin (Marla) Theise; daughter, Laurel-Lee (David) McMenemy; one granddaughter and four great-grandchildren. Ron is also survived by one sister, Judy (Glenda); three brothers, Tom, Brian and Bruce (Evelyn) as well as numerous extended family. Ron was born in Ottawa, ON., on July 19, 1945, before his family moved to Success, SK., in 1952. Sending our heartfelt condolences: Our fondest memories were the times we enjoyed with Ron at Suffern Lake, SK. From "saskatoon picking" to "dance lessons ". Ron's love of nature was amazing. He spent endless hours watching his 4-legged + winged friends. Ron has many friends and family to cherish his memories. He is forever in our hearts 💕 💞 Love Judy and Glenda .

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time. We have known Ron over the course of a few years through cabin ownership and the last two years seeing him on our daily walks around Suffern Lake. He never failed to yell out a hello, come and have a chat, when he would see us. We both will miss his smile and his company.

My sincere condolences to all of Ron's family. It was a shock to hear of his sudden passing. In 51 yrs. of knowing Ron he was a good friend & neighbour to everyone whose life he touched. He was always being kind to any wildlife. He will be missed by everyone, especially his feathered friends whom he diligently fed in his front yard tree. May he rest in peace.

    Uncle Ron,

You were always larger than life itself Uncle Ron. I feel pretty damned lucky to have grown up with such an awesome mom and her seven wonderful brothers. Your voice is one of the loudest, yet one of the softest, kindest, gentlest and funniest of the family. Your stories, life lessons, and laughter are legendary and will live on. My wish is to have a book of Uncle Ron stories of the “Uncle Ron Podcast”. Chapters of how to hunt a gopher, butcher a pig on your kitchen table, and how to suck out rattlesnake venom and patch the hole with duct tape. There would be a recipe section as well, including classics like chokecherry syrup, corn relish, ritz crackers with cheeze whiz and mealie worms, and horse sausage.
I am sad and very sorry I cannot be there today with all our family. Sending big love to Robin and Laurel-Lee, I am so sorry for your loss. Hugest hugs to my mom and Glenda who Ron phoned every single day, I loved hearing his voice through the phone as I sat nearby. Bruce, Tom, and Brian, love you like brothers, look after each other and my mom, you are tough like Ron and have the Theise grit. My cousins Nicole, Jenell, Brenda, and aunty Ev, I can hear all your laughter and shenanigans at the lake. We all love you very much big brother and uncle and will miss you greatly.
I am wearing my most colorful, Hawaiian shirt today, listening to Wille Nelson, Eddie Rabbit and other old time classics and tipping one back for all of you.

Love you and wish I was there to share the stories and laughter.

    Wade
