"The holy angels came down from heaven,
took Heather into their arms
and took her up to
the kingdom of heaven
February 23rd.”
It is with profound sadness that the family of Heather Lynn Schnell announce her passing at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at the age of 62 years after a brief illness. Heather is survived by her husband, Bryan; son, Aaron Thomson and his children, Aubri and Brinlee Thomson. She is also survived by her mother, Audrey Thomson; brother, Dwayne (Sheelagh); nephews, Kellen and Riley Thomson as well as numerous other extended family from both the Schnell and Thomson families. She was predeceased by her father and a brother in infancy. Heather worked for many years at the Central Park Lodge through its transition into the Riverview Care Centre. She also worked for a number of years at Walmart. Heather loved to shop, hence she always found the “sales”. She loved to decorate her home for each celebration and looked forward to summer when she could spend time at their summer home at Golden Sheaf Park camping. Family wish to extend their appreciation to the many doctors and nursing staff on 5 East for their excellent care and genuine concern while providing such comfort to Heather over the past several weeks. A celebration of Heather’s life will be held at a future date. Those wishing to remember Heather are encouraged to do so through a donation to the Canadian CJD Association.
