Cook Southland Funeral Chapel - Tewsley(2021)

Mrs. Theresa Tewsley beloved wife of the late Mr. Jack Tewsley, passed away at St. Joseph’s Home - Carmel Hospice in Medicine Hat on Sunday, January 31, 2021, at the age of 90 years. Born in Calgary to Edwin and Mary Reimer on September 19, 1930, where she grew up and later met the love of her life, Jack Tewsley, who she was married to for 65 years. Theresa was a dedicated teacher before she had her family and then that was the focus of her life. She quite often would correct your grammar and you'll find that all of her children have excellent penmanship. Theresa was a very kind, caring and genuine woman who cared deeply for her family and friends. She was a devote catholic and lived her life according to her spiritual journey. It was her faith that helped her through many challenges in her life. Both Theresa and Jack were involved in several marriage and pre-marriage seminars taking place at the church over the years. Theresa is survived by her children, Greg (Marnie) Tewsley, Kathy (Colin) Bryksa, Wendy (Jack) Magro and Joan Desjarlais. She is a cherished grandmother to 15 grandchildren and numerous great- grandchildren. She is also survived by her dear sister, Louise Urness. Theresa was predeceased by her husband, Jack Tewsley; daughter, Christine Schwabe; sister, Evelyn Reimer and brother, Art Reimer. Due to Covid restrictions, a private family Funeral Mass celebrating Theresa’s life will take place on Friday, February 5, 2021, followed by a private burial.

In Life we loved you dearly, In death we love you still

In our hearts you hold, a special place,

No one else will fill.

My deepest condolences to Greg & family, Kathy and family, Wendy and family, and Joan & family.
Theresa was a good friend to me for many years, she always made me feel like one of your family. Our friendship was strong and we enjoyed each other's company. Sadly as we grew older we drifted apart for a few reasons, one being we both had a memory problem about when we would meet for coffee again. I cherish the time we did spend together! Rest in peace my dear friend until I see you again. LOVE Pat.
