Garth made the world a better place. He was the kind of guy who could get a person to crack a smile on their worst day. If he liked you, he wouldn't just let you know, but he would make sure everyone else knew as well. Garth was one of the kindest souls I have ever known. Even if he disagreed with someone, he still showed them that he valued their opinion and would genuinely listen to them. He had a way of making a person feel heard.
Garth loved his family deeply. When he spoke of his wife, Pam, his eyes shone. And Garth didn't just love his children (and grandchildren)--he was their biggest fan. He cherished every moment he had with his family, and it was always evident that they knew they were loved by him.
Garth's passing is a great loss suffered by those fortunate enough to know him.
My deepest condolences to the Ferguson family.

Dear Pam, Dustin and Tanya. You have lost the outer layer of your family, you feel the loss of Garth's warm, loving hands, his compassionate voice, and the assurance of him always loving you. But stop. Feel the sensations around you. Listen to the sounds. Garth is - and will always be - with you. He is the movement of air around you, he is the blue in the sky and the brightness in the sun. He will be the rain and the snow and that strong wind that howls across the prairies. He will be a part of everything you do and will always be watching over you. He will never leave.
May his Dad and Mom - Don and Audrey, brother Mark and his wife Lisa, sister Laurie and her husband Rod always feel blessed to know Garth is with them. May his children Dustin and Kendra, Tanya and Kyle keep the spirit of Garth with his grandchildren as they grow up. To Garth's nieces and nephews, treasure the memories of your Uncle Garth.
And Pam, may you always feel blessed that you were the love of Garth's life having just celebrated your 35th anniversary together.
It is with heavy hearts that we say farewell to such a great man who was taken much too soon from us.
Rest easy my friend.

Dear Pam, Dustin (Kendra), Tanya (Kyle) and families,
While I can only imagine your pain, I know that Garth was a blessing to you all, and will continue to be throughout your days as he lives on in your memories.
Garth and Pam came into my life in February 2011. Last week I began to explain Garth to an associate by saying Garth and Pam are one of those rare couples who just exude love, they became near and dear to me quickly. Yet as loving people go, they are often fiercely protective, and Garth was no exception, he would not have hesitated to aggressively protect his family if the need arose.
It was an honor to know Garth and to be introduced to his family. He is known to me as genuine, sincere, loving - proud husband, father and grandfather. God bless and keep you Garth.
