Obituary - Bryan Rehbein

It is with extremely heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Bryan Jonathan Rehbein at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Sunday, September 29, 2019, at the age of 51 years. Left to cherish Bryan’s memory is his birth mother, Wanda; sister, Adrienne (Mark); Wanda’s children, Michelle (Wade), Melissa (Guy), Jeff (Coralee), Stephanie (Matthew) and Sarah (Raymond) as well as numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and many close friends. Bryan was predeceased by his parents, Armin (Margaret) Rehbein; grandparents, John (Rose) Heine, Emil (Giselle) Rehbein and Alex (Olga) Stano. Bryan was born in Calgary on April 8, 1968 and was raised and educated in Medicine Hat. After graduating from college, Bryan worked at Witke Iron Works before seeking employment at Goodyear where he was employed for 29 years. He enjoyed dirt biking, fishing, kayaking, walking in the river valley... anything he could do outdoors to spend time with friends, family and his dogs. Bryan loved meeting and getting to know his birth family. He was also known as Mr. Fixit as he could fix (or attempt to fix) almost anything. Bryan was a jokester with a unique sense of humour who will be deeply missed. The family would like to thank Sherry for caring for Bryan in his last months of life. A Celebration of Bryan’s life will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 - 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Friday, October 4, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with Life Celebrant Gerry Getz officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery. Memorial donations in Bryan’s name may be made directly to the SPCA, 55 Southwest Drive S.W., Medicine Hat, AB, T1A 8E8 or to the Margery E.
