1930 - 2018
Mr. Roy Lionel Bechtold, beloved husband of the late Mrs. Rosemarie Bechtold (nee Kipta), passed away in Medicine Hat on Saturday, November 10, 2018, at the age of 87 years. A Celebration of Roy’s life will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 - 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat on December 8, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. with Life Celebrant Gerry Getz officiating. Private interment will follow with a time of fellowship and refreshments thereafter in the Cook Southland Reception Facility. If friends so desire, donations in memory of Roy may be made to Canadian Blood Services by calling 1-888-236-6283 (ask for fundraising).
The Celebration of Roy's life will be live streamed through Cook Southland's website. Those who cannot attend but wish to be a part of the service may choose to visit the Cook Southland Website on Saturday, December 8, 2018. Click on the Live Video Stream Button located in the centre of the homepage screen just above the Families poem. A new screen will open and the service will start streaming at 2:00 p.m. (M.S.T.)

Pam, Laurie & Brad,
It is so sad to hear of the sudden passing of Uncle Roy.
He was a wonderful brother, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, great uncle and friend to everyone who knew him. Someone so special can never be forgotten.
My heart goes out to all of you, your spouses and children during this difficult time.
You and your family are in our prayers.

We were saddened to hear of Uncle Roy's passing. Mom has been sharing stories of your dad as her little brother running around and getting her into trouble. If it was possible one of us would come out for the funeral but sadly we cannot join you in person. I will try to stream it for mom. Our condolences. Rhoda, Brenda and Harold

Sorry to hear of Roy's passing. We have many memories of Roy and Rosemarie
from office parties and times at the Shuswap.
Seems Roy was always able to build or fix just about anything.

Sorry to hear of Rusty's passing. He was a very friendly and kind man. Alex spoke of him often. Our condolences.
