Obituary - Helen Bender

Helen Ottilia Bender (nee Nazaruk) passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 27, 2018, at the age of 64 years. She will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her beloved husband, Gerald; son, Christopher (Tammra); daughter, Christina (Curtis) Potts; grandchildren, Alex and MaKenna; nephews, Ed (Monica) Klaudt and their son, Brenden; Curtis Rader and his children, Charity and Kash and a niece, Debbie (Dean) Lentz. Helen was predeceased by her parents, John and Rose Nazaruk; brother, Edwin; and sister, Diane (Laverne) Rader. In honour of Helen’s memory, family gathered privately at Cook’s to pay their respects and say their goodbye’s.

“God saw you getting tired when a cure was not to be.

So He closed His arms around you and whispered “Come to Me.”

You didn’t deserve what you went through, so He gave you rest.

God’s garden must be beautiful, He only takes the best.

And when we saw you sleeping so peaceful and free from pain,

we could not wish you back to suffer that again.”
