Obituary - Ruth Bohnet

Ruth Bohnet (nee Mattson), beloved wife of the late Mike Bohnet, passed away peacefully at the Bow Island Health Centre on Friday, December 22, 2017, at the age of 95 years. She leaves to cherish her memory three sons: Stan (Elaine), Randall (Ulla) and Dennis (Dixie); two daughters: Valerie (Grant) Kammermayer and Susan Mosher; seven grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Ruth is survived by one sister, Edna Caswell, and one sister-in-law, Ethel Lanz.  She was predeceased by a son, Larry, and daughter, Mary Jane. Ruth loved to welcome all to the table with a warm, friendly smile and a delicious home cooked meal. There was always room for one more! She lived a simple life enjoying everyday activities, family, and friends. Favourite pastimes included reading, doing jigsaws, playing cards and board games, gardening, golfing, and bowling. A short prayer service and luncheon will be held at Cook  Southland Funeral Chapel (Reception Facility) 901 - 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Friday, December 29, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Ruth’s name may be made directly to the Bow Island & District Health  Care Foundation, 938 Centre Street, Bow Island, Alberta, T0K 0G0.
