1954 - 2017
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Shirley Ann Marshall announce her peacefull passing at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Sunday, October 1, 2017, at the age of 63 years. Along with Dave, her loving husband of almost 20 years, Shirley leaves to cherish her memory: son, David (Annette) Moss and their children, Riley and Mackenzie; daughter, Melanie Bartlett (Justin) and her children, Kayla, Tanner, Aimee and Amber; son, Glen (Michelle) Moss and their son, Darcy; step-son, Stuart (Andy) Marshall and their children, Callum, Kyra and Ava. Shirley will be forever loved by her sister, Judy (Gary) Pardy and their son, Gary Jr.; brother, Rick Wiseman and his children, Kandra and Justin. She is also survived by two nieces, Louise (Fiancé Neal) Lowe and Victoria (Shaun) Lowe as well as her four furry friends, Sammy Lou, Penny Lou, Baby Cat and Orange Cat. A Come and Go Celebration of Shirley’s life will be held in the Canteen at the Royal Canadian Legion, 702 - 2 Street S.E., Medicine Hat on Thursday, October 5, 2017, between 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. Everyone is encouraged to dress casual for this time of fellowship and sharing of memories. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Shirley may be made directly to the Salvation Army, 164 Stratton Way S.E., Medicine Hat, Alberta, T1B 3R3.

It is with much sadness that we write this note. Dave grew up with Shirley Ann and has many fond memories of her and siblings in Newfoundland. We will all miss Shirley Ann's warm embrace and smile. Rick and Judy, you are in our prayers. We can't imagine the loss you feel. David, Melanie, and Glen - we remember you as small children. Now you are grown and have children of your own. We know loosing your mom will be a difficult time for you all. Be assured of our prayers. David and members of the family who we have not met, be assured of our prayers at this time. Knowing Shirley Ann we know you will certainly miss her smile and laughter.

Shirley was a fantastic step mum to me and my wife Andrea, and much loved by all our family. Callam, Kyra, & Ava loved Shirley as she was a fantastic Nanna to them all. We are all so happy we managed to spend 4 weeks with her over the summer break and have a lot of very happy memories. The world has lost such a fantastic character and we will miss her very much.
