(You probably knew her as “Mandy”)
My dear sister, Mandy went to be with the angels on Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at the age of 56 years. Mandy was born November 27, 1960 in Assiniboia, Saskatchewan to Bunt and Hilda Frostad. She grew up with her sister and later found she had a half brother. She attended school in Assiniboia and worked at the Tee Pee Drive-in flippin’ burgers. From a young age Mandy carried a love for animals and disrupting the natural order. Mandy most recently adopted her precious Diesel, and she made him happier than you could imagine. He had to learn to share Mandy’s love with her cats and their dog, Charlie. She was truly her own person, holding back may not have been in her nature, but she always had the best intentions... her heart was gold! She moved to Medicine Hat years ago with Debbie Erfle Hertz and there she stayed. She worked at the Royal Hotel for several years, making many friends. She then found her niche when Hugh and Patty hired her at Bice & Sons. She took great pride in her insulating ability. Mandy performed her job very well and actually enjoyed it. Now about her friends, there are so many they cannot possibly all be named - you know who you are and you are all special! Her short stay in the hospital was accompanied by an extremely loyal friend, Mike Clifton. Mike was there for the good moments, the bad moments and the final moment. Mandy is survived by her sister, Tamie; nephews, Curtis and Travis LeBlanc; uncle, Cliff (Iris); step-mother, Paulette; half brother, Gary (Wanda), nephew, Jarod, niece, Vicki, cousins and of course numerous friends. She was predeceased by her parents. Special thanks to Hugh and Patty, Kate, Barb, Theresa, Donna and Raylene for making Mandy’s last days filled with friends. Mandy’s life will be silently remembered by family and friends.

Judy met Mandy about October last year for the first time at a coffee get together with other cousins and friends, I was unable to be there so did not get to meet her. In 2003 I had put together a Folk family reunion in Ponteix, Sask. and we all thought we were going to meet Mandy but at the last minute she was unable to attend, unfortunately for all of us. All the years we were all here and never got together, so sad. Our condolences and prayers to her sister, Tamie and all those close to Mandy. Marcel & Judy Folk 20 Ross Glen Way SE. There is certainly no surprise to know that Mandy had so many friends. She accepted everyone as they were, and wasn't afraid to share her thoughts about things. This world is certainly a lesser place without her. God bless you Mandy!

Tammy, so sorry to hear the sad news of Mandy. She was a ball of fire! Great memories working at school, flipping burgers with her at the TeePee and many late nights at the Royal. Beautiful spirit.

Mandy, you will be forever in my mind. I will love you forever. Til we meet again. We were the best of friends and coworkers at the Royal. Lots of fond memories from those days. Our days as roommates were very special to me. Kathy Harron.
