Aunt Anne, Alanna and Michael -
Thinking of you at this sad time as you deal with your loss. I looked up to Uncle Max as someone who was highly intelligent, always kind, gentle and articulate. I admired his approach to life and marveled at the things he did with his life. How exciting and amazing that was compared to what most of us experience. As a child we were always excited to see him when he came home. As an adult every time we met he reinforced these attributes. My only regret is that I didn't get to spend more time with him but I am truly blessed that he was MY Uncle.
RIP Uncle Max.

Dear Anne: we were so sad to hear that Max had died, but happy as well to know that his suffering had ended. We were so fortunate to have known him. He was a good and decent man who was a public servant in the best sense of the term. His kindness to us and especially to Grace will be remembered. Our hearts and love go out to you. Max was great member and an even finer human being. He served both the Force and the communities in which he served in a manner that made us all better police officers. Anne, like all long term spouses you played a major role in making and maintaining the man he was. Our regards and condolences.

Just let my parents know about Max. They are deeply saddened by this news. They haven't seen Max in a while, but always spoke very fondly of both Max and Anne, and their visits, and really respected both of you. They wanted me to pass on their deepest sympathies and condolences.
