I have had the privilege of dealing with Dan through work as well as personally. Dan was always professional and easy to deal with. You could tell he loved his job and loved to help people. I feel fortunate to have known Dan. We were close friends in high school and roommates during university. I have witnessed an extraordinary depth to Dan. He defied classification, and was always surprising me with some aspect of his personality. You could always trust Dan to make the most of any situation. He could have fun anywhere, and never let go of his passion for life. The world has lost a special person. His presence will be greatly missed, and my heart goes out to his family.

This is an extremely warm felt condolences to the family, and friends of Dan. I was a client and I would like to think also a friend of Dan. I have exchange many conversation; some professional and some as a casual conversation, with Dan over the many years. I am deeply sad as we are all going to miss a good man, a funny man, a professional business man and a friend.

I was one of his instructors and advisor at Lakeland College, Vermilion. Dan was kind, thoughtful, respectful and always so interesting. He was a most memorable student. My heartfelt condolences to Dan's family. I worked with Dan at Nortel in Calgary and met up with him over the years for a few trips. Dan was an extremely entertaining guy to be around and had a big, kind heart. I remember him belting out "Feliz Navidad" at the hotel's upscale piano bar in his favorite hat and beachwear... His energetic performance earned him a huge round of applause and 50 pesos from the mostly Mexican audience. He will truly be missed.

It is with shock and disbelief that we heard of Dan's passing. It seems like only yesterday I sold him his acreage off the #3. In my real estate practice Dan was always the first appraiser I called when I needed something done quickly and professionally. He was the best at what he did! My daughter Jami went to school with Dan. Dan, you will be missed by all who knew you both personally and professionally.
