I worked with Doug at CO3 energy. He was a good friend and always ready to help everybody. My condolences go out to the family.

I'm sure you won't know me, but I am the daughter of Corinne Barker who was a cousin of Dougie's mother. I just wanted to send a note to let you know I was thinking of you. Doug was more my brother, Curtis' age, but I remember going to their place to visit Ferne or to Aunt Roses. We always had a lot of fun especially the spring when they did the branding. Thinking of you, Brenda

Hi Kids, Just read your dad's obit. I'm sorry Doug had to go so young. I hope his illness was not long or painful. It seems like a hundred years since I used to come down to visit you guys at the ranch. When you moved to Mortlach it seemed we all just lost touch. I always enjoyed the cattle drives, round ups and the time spent with Eddie, Johnny, Lloyd and of course your dad and mom. You're probably all so big now I wouldn't recognize any of you, I'll always remember the ice cream you used to get from the Glasgow Dairy truck. I'll bet you don't remember all those card tricks. Hang in there Kids.
Best Regards, Charlie
