Mrs. Adele Schwarz, beloved wife of the late Mr. Albert Schwarz, passed away peacefully at the Good Samaritan South Ridge Village on Wednesday, August 1, 2012, at the age of 92 years.  Adele leaves to cherish her memory:  one sister, Leontine Liebig;  two sisters-in-law, Maria Pomreinke and Freda Heilman as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Albert, on December 29, 1990;  four brothers, Arnold, Herbert, Albert and Willi; sister-in-law, Florentine and brother-in-law, Chris.  Albert and Adele were married on August 25, 1940 in Bessarabia.  In October of that same year, they moved to Germany.  In 1952, they immigrated to Canada, settling in the Murraydale District in Saskatchewan.  In 1982, they sold their farm and moved to Maple Creek.  Adele moved to Medicine Hat in 1998;  and in 2010, she moved to the Good Samaritan Residence.  Family wish to extend their heartfelt appreciation to all of the care givers at the Good Sam for their loving care and support during Adele’s stay there.  Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 - 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Friday, August 3, 2012, between 7:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M.  Visitation will also be offered at the church starting one hour prior to the Funeral Service which will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 515 Sprague Way S.E., Medicine Hat on Saturday, August 4, 2012, at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Ken Edel officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery. If friends so desire, memorial tributes in Adele’s name may be made directly to the St. Paul Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 515 Sprague Way S.E., Medicine Hat, Alberta, T1B 4A7.
