Mr. Claudio Enrique Faba, beloved husband of Mrs. Laura Faba, passed away at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Saturday, January 28, 2012, at the age of 57 years.  Claudio was born in Santiago, Chile, on March 30, 1954, and was raised by his devoted and loving mother, Ema Julia Faba.  In 1976, he moved to Canada where he lived until the time of his passing.  On May 1, 2010, Claudio married the love of his life, Laura.  He was truly loved by his family and many friends due to his caring, big heart.  Claudio always gave a helping hand to anyone who needed it.  He had touched the lives of all who had the privilege and blessing of knowing him.  His greatest passion in life was to spend as much time with his family and savored every moment with them.  Claudio’s hobbies  were his music and pool.  A proud moment was winning the 2009 - 2010 Division 1, Gas City Eight Ball League tournament with his team mates.  It was one of his most memorable prizes he received and shared with everyone.  Claudio’s memory will be forever treasured in the hearts of his wife, Laura;  children, Adrian Faba, Andrea (Luis) Rementeria, Dario (Paola) Rementeria;  grandchildren, Gabriela Pulgar, Rodrigo Pulgar, Claudia Rementeria, Nicolas Venegas, Melina Troncoso;  sister, Glady Rementeria as well as nephews, Pablo Rementeria and Cristhian Rementeria.  Claudio was predeceased by his loving mother, Ema Julia Faba.  The Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church, 238 - 2nd Avenue N.E., Medicine Hat, on Thursday, February 2, 2012, at 10:30 A.M. with Reverend Father Phi Nguyen Celebrant.  The family requests that memorial donations may be made by visiting www.albertacancer.ca/claudio_faba

    I had the pleasure of working with Claudio years and years ago, and found him to be very hard working, caring and a genuinely caring person - with a smile that lit up a room! I extend my heartfelt condolences and wish Claudio everlasting peace.
