Marilyn (Lynn) Ann Heine, beloved member of the Alfred Egan Home family, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at the age of 63 years. She will be cherished in the hearts of her relatives, Sally Rehbein of Medicine Hat, Adrienne Rehbein-Brooks of Calgary, Bryan Rehbein of Medicine Hat, Thelma (Felix) Lutz, Doug (Shirley) Heine of Medicine Hat as well as numerous cousins, friends and Alfred Egan Home family. She was predeceased by Margaret Rehbein (Nov. 25, 2008), Armin Rehbein (Aug. 17, 1970), Rose Heine (May 9, 1967) and Rudolph Heine (Oct. 11, 1965). The world became a brighter place when Lynn was born in Medicine Hat on July 21, 1946. She spent much of her early years in Red Deer before moving to Medicine Hat where she received job training through the Kinsmen Training Centre (KTC) and the C.O.R.E. association. She was a person of strong faith in the Lord and became the sunshine of her surroundings. With her thoughtful loving nature and great sense of humor, Lynn was easily adored by those around her. She enjoyed bowling (which she won many awards for and participated in the special olympics), crafts, traveling, music and doing jigsaw puzzles. It was nice to see the puzzles she put together! Lynn also loved cats - and had many, many special cat friends that decorated her room. She loved life and enjoyed the holidays she was able to go on, including a Disney Cruise, Disneyland and trips to the Calgary Zoo. These were times that were all very special to her. Also special to her and the family, are the wonderful caring people who make the Alfred Egan Home a comforting place to live and visit. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 - 13th Street S.W., on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Celebration in Honour of Lynn’s Life will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel on Thursday, April 1, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Fred Rink officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery. If friends so desire, memorial tributes in Lynn’s name may be made directly to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, 124, 430 - 6th Ave. SE, Medicine Hat, Alberta T1A 2S8 or to the charity of one’s choice.
