Obituary - Lewis Long

Lewis William Long, beloved husband of Bertha Long of Medicine Hat, passed away on Thursday, April 8, 2010 at the age of 73 years. Besides his wife Bertha, he also leaves to cherish his memory two children, Stewart Long and Connie (Randy) Biddles; two grandchildren, Stephen Roberts and Allison Roberts. Lewis was raised in Shackleton, Saskatchewan where he farmed until 1975. During this time, he also operated a farm machine business from 1970 to 1980. In 1985, he moved to Medicine Hat where he worked various jobs until his retirement. In Lewis’ honour, a private family graveside service will be held at Hillside Cemetery. If friends so desire, memorial tributes in Lewis’ name may be made directly to the SPCA, 55 Southwest Drive S.W., Medicine Hat, Alberta T1A 8E8.
