Helen 'Ruth' McFarland passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2008, at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital, Medicine Hat, Alberta, at the age of 91 years. She is survived by her granddaughter, Cherie (Gord) Daley; three great-grandchildren, Tiffany Baxter, Tristan Daley and Amaya Daley. As per Ruth's request, her life will be celebrated without the proceedings of formal funeral service.
