Obituary - Claude Martin

We mourn the loss of Claude Glen Joseph Ambrose Martin after a short but well fought battle against cancer. Claude passed away on Sunday, July 1, 2007 at the age of 57 years. Claude was born in Nipigon, Ontario, a son to Ivan & Gabrielle Martin. He spent his school years in Schrieber, Ont. After this time, he gained employment in various fields before taking up a trade in pipefitting. This proved to be his expertise as he worked at that until failed health limited his abilities. Claude's memory will be cherished by his loving wife, Jennifer; his children, Alana, Tori, Amanda, Adam (Joanna), Jeff (Connie), Rebecca (Paul), Tyler and grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Justin (Bev), Ivan (Mary), Curtis, Paul (Margaret), Janice (Marc) and Bruce. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and a special auntie, Sharon. Claude was predeceased by his parents, Ivan and Gabrielle and a sister, Gabrielle. Claude will be missed by numerous friends in Medicine Hat and Northern Ontario. A Celebration of Claude's Life will be held at the Redcliff Royal Canadian Legion, 302 Broadway Ave. N.E., Redcliff on Friday, July 6, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. with Civil Celebrant Gerry Getz officiating. If friends so desire, memorial tributes in Claude's name may be made directly to the Cancer Centre (Clinic Medicine Hat), 666 - 5th Street S.W., Medicine Hat, Alberta T1A 4H6.
