Mrs. Levera Constance Moen of Medicine Hat, beloved wife of the late Mr. Palmer Moen, passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2006, at the age of 92 years. She leaves to cherish her memory one son, Del (Lorette) Moen; daughters, Yvonne (Warren) Whitfield, Mavis (Orville) Myrvang, Cheryl (Wayne) Bitz; grandchildren, Arlus (Barb) Whitfield, Karla (Andy) Klaverkamp, Kindel (Larry) Celestino, Aurilee (Darren) Klassen, Lonn (Kristy) Moen as well as eight great-grandchildren. Levera is also survived by one sister, Josie Overlid and one brother, Murray (Joy) Anderson. She was predeceased by her husband, Palmer Moen, in 1964. During her career, Levera worked as a nursing assistant in Meadow Lake and Swift Current, and also worked as a cook for construction crews. She was a past member of the Ladies Aid at the Nordland Church in Stewart Valley. Levera was always putting everyone ahead of herself. She was fast to make friends, and loved to share her many gifts and talents. She will be dearly missed. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 - 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Friday, July 14, 2006, between 7:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M. The Funeral Service will be held at Victory Lutheran Church, 2793 Southview Drive S.E., Medicine Hat on Saturday, July 15, 2006, at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Loren Hosfield officiating. The Interment following the luncheon will take place at Hillside Cemetery. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to The Palliative Care Society, 666 - 5 Street S.W., Medicine Hat, Alberta, T1A 4H6.
