Margaret (Peggy) Watson of Medicine Hat, Alberta, passed away on April 21, 2010, at the age of 92 years. Peggy leaves to cherish her memory: son, Willie (Kathryn); three daughters, Susan (Emil), Margaret, Maureen (John); daughter-in-law, Shirley; twelve grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; two sisters, Queenie and Irene, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Peggy was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Andy; grandson, Andrew; three brothers, Dinsmore, Willie and Alec; three sisters, Rachel, Betty and Anna, as well as most recently, her son, Sam. Peggy was born on May 29, 1917, in Ireland and came to Canada as a young girl with her parents and siblings to settle in Scrip, Saskatchewan. There she met and married Andrew Watson. They moved to Flin Flon, Manitoba, then to Creighton, Saskatchewan, where they raised their five children. Her cinnamon buns were a favorite with all the neighbor kids and her family. Everyone was always welcome in her home. Peggy’s greatest joy was being around family and her grandchildren. When each one was born they received something special she had knit. In her younger days, she was an avid curler and ball player. She loved to watch the Toronto Blue Jays on television. It is difficult to sum up all she did in her 92 years. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother (G.G.) and she will be forever missed and lovingly remembered by family and friends. A very special thank you to all the staff at Haven of Rest for all the care you gave and kindness you showed to Peggy and her family. Margaret’s life will be cherished without the proceedings of a formal funeral service. Interment will take place at a later date in the Ponass Lake Cemetery at Scrip, Saskatchewan. Family ties somehow don’t seem To mean as much these days - - Most children and their parents Seem to go their separate ways, But our family is different In a lot of things we do, And we will always cherish Our family ties with you. You have a place within our hearts That no one else can fill - - We will miss you and we love you, And we always will. ......Your Family
