Obituary - Judith 'Judy' Webster

Judith 'Judy' Webster

1949 - 2025

Cook Southland Funeral Chapel - Webster(2025)

May 16, 1949 ~ September 11, 2025

Judith “Judy” Elaine Webster, beloved mother, grandmother, daughter and sister, passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2025 at the age of 76 years. Judy was born in Medicine Hat on May 16, 1949, to William and Alice Boschee. She grew up in the Tothill area and attended Gros Ventre and Feldman Lake schools before coming to Medicine Hat and continuing at Crestwood, Alexandra and graduating from Medicine Hat High School. Most of Judy’s working years were spent in office administration, but she especially cherished the time she spent working at Paradise Valley Par 3 Golf Course in Medicine Hat. She loved gardening, playing cards and cooking, but above all, cherished the time spent with family and friends. After a stroke in 1999, Judy faced life with strength and determination which allowed her to remain independent and continue living life on her own terms. Later, she also overcame breast cancer with the same resilience.

Judy will be deeply missed by her daughter, Renae (Lyle) Weiss; grandsons, Cobey, Bodee, and Ryker Weiss; mother, Alice Boschee; brother, Don (Marie) Boschee as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved son, Russell Flaig; father, William Boschee and her special friend, Dennis Krauss.

Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 - 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Friday, September 19, 2025, between 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. To honour Judy's wishes, a private family memorial and graveside service will be held at a future date.

Dear Renae, Sorry to hear about your Mom!! Your Mom and I worked at Engineered Homes together and had tons of fun with Shorty!! We spent most of our friendship going to the same schools together and then after each of us were married we brought our kids together and that’s when you and your brother got to know my two daughters, Rhonda and Rachelle, you probably still remember them. We live in the country east of Lacombe, Rhonda is a teacher at JS McCormick School in Lacombe and Rachelle is a Pharmacy Tech but is now helping her husband being Secretary for their Construction Company which is also in Lacombe!! I dont get back to the Hat much anymore and did contact your Mom once but she had a Doctor’s appt., so we had to cut it short but nevertheless we did have a small chat!! I will always remember the fun times we had when we worked together and also the fun we had when we went out, I will also remember her gorgeous gardens and her delicious meals, me and my girls were at her house in Ross Glen quite a few times!! Rest in Peace Judy, I will always remember our fun times!!
