Ken was a first class gentleman. Always working hard for others to make sure they felt comfortable and doing it quietly without drawing attention to himself. He made the MHTC what it is today. The community of Medicine Hat and the tennis club are poorer with Ken's passing. Our deepest sympathy and condolences to Linda and family.

Although others helped, it was Ken whose unassuming determination and foresight created the vibrant tennis community in Medicine Hat. For over thirty years he worked tirelessly, quietly, with the humility of a man dedicated to serving others, to build a club and a community which provides pleasure to an ever-growing number of tennis enthusiasts, young and old. Ken, you were truly "a man for others". We'll not ever forget you nor the joy you brought to others. May you Rest In Peace. My sincere condolences to Linda and family and Russ and family.

I was so very sad to hear of Ken’s passing. Ken was a longtime friend through Hatterland Children’s Theatre and he accompanied me to my high school graduation festivities. I worked with Ken on weekends at the College for the last year, and what a pleasure it was. Ken was always quiet, confident, and re-assuring. He never seemed to get flustered and I never heard him utter a derogatory word against anyone. Dalien and I offer Linda and all the family and friends our sincere condolences and prayers. Ken will be sorely missed, and always in our memories. The weekends will never be the same for us.

I was extremely sad and shocked when I heard Ken was no longer with us. I remember him like a great man, with lots of energy, playing at the tennis club, sometimes together. He welcomed me with a big smile, and told me “see you soon” last time we saw each other. Someday we’ll see each other again.

I was saddened to have read in the Medicine Hat news paper this morning of the passing of Ken Clement.
I, along with Jessie Cosgrove were chosen by Ken, to care for his mother by helping him out providing some respite hours during the day. He was a dear, loving son to his mother. He was excellent to work for. Rest in peace Ken & Bea

My relationship with Ken started over the phone while I was pondering a move to Medicine Hat and was curious about how I could be involved with the Tennis Club.

Rackets, grip size, serve and volley, one-handed backhands. court surface, windbreakers, etc, he could talk Tennis and was a real visionary and ambassador for the game.

In the coming years, the Tennis Club grew into a place where people of all ages embraced one another in the spirit of competition and friendship and at the center of it all was Ken Clement.

He always had time to make you feel important and genuinely cared for. I want to express my deepest condolences to everyone who knew and loved Ken.

    "Kenny", rest easy my friend.

Ken was one who was a reliable security guard at the College. He worked for the Commisionaires and then for Paladin Security. As his supervisor I could always rely on Ken to cover off guard shifts when shortages occurred. He will be missed. My condolences go out to Linda and family. Prayers to all.

I'm in shock to hear of the passing of my longtime friend that was like a big brother to me. I've known Ken since I was a teenager. He helped me graduate when I had back problems. Ken loved his sports and taught me to play tennis. We started up a fun volleyball night out get together. Always thinking of how the family was doing/ and not how he was doing when I ran into him at Maple Ave Tims.
Ken you are good soul inside and out! You were a good friend of our family's. Sending hugs to Linda and family and Russ and family. Wear a shirt pocket and keep Ken's memories close to your hearts.
Louise Joker, Allana and family, Brenda and family.

Ken was the backbone of the Barrie Shave Memorial doubles tennis tournament that ran every Father’s Day weekend for 25 years. I hope the Medicine Hat tennis community will now find a way to similarly honour Ken’s remarkable service.

My heartfelt condolences to Ken's family. I didn't know Ken well but I just joined the tennis club last year and Ken gave me a run down of the workings of the Club. He was proud to show everything and he was so genuinely welcoming. He took his time. We had a wonderful conversation about inclusion and what an international club it is. We have lost a real gentleman.
