Cook Southland Funeral Chapel - Yuhas(2025) "Pat"

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patricia ‘Pat’ Ann Yuhas, beloved wife of the late George Yuhas, at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at the age of 83 years. Pat was born in Leader, Saskatchewan on April 19, 1942. At six years of age, the family moved to Redcliff where she received her schooling as well as in Medicine Hat. Pat married her best friend on October 10, 1960. They moved to the Taber / Barnwell area where they farmed and grew sugar beets before moving back to Redcliff / Medicine Hat area. Pat loved going camping and fishing... Holter Lake, Montana was their favorite spot and where they met so many friends. Pat’s favorite love was spending time with her grandchildren. She would do anything for them! She was a very caring and witty person, which many can attest to. She loved baking, cooking and putting out treats for company as well as gardening, knitting and making crafts. She will be deeply missed and cherished by her children: John Yuhas (Lisa Dencer), George Yuhas and Randy (Melissa) Yuhas; grandchildren: Shala Yuhas (Austin Allen), Kadain Yuhas (Emily Rompain), Keegan Atsatata and Kameron Yuhas; great-grandchildren: Briggs and Kash Allen; a brother, Neil (Marge) Dieno and sisters, Louise (John (Wyatt) and Cathy Jankowiak as well as numerous extended family. Pat was predeceased by her parents, Henry and Rose Dieno; husband, George Yuhas and a brother, Lory Dieno. In Pat’s honour, a Graveside Service will be held at the Redcliff Cemetery on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. with Father Julian Studden officiating. The Graveside Service will be live-streamed. Those wishing to attend the service virtually may do so by visiting the Cook Southland website and selecting the View Broadcast button on the homepage at service time.

Pat, you were a great sister; always concerned about how I was doing and what I was doing. You will never be forgotten as long as I am living. I will carry you with me safely tucked within my heart. Your light will always shine. No matter what the future brings or what might lie ahead, I know that you will walk with me along the path I walk. Só rest now my sister, be at peace and let your soul fly free. One day I will join your glorious flight for all eternity. Love and will really miss you.
