The family of Marjorie ‘Marj’ Jean McMorran, beloved wife of Ken McMorran, sadly announce her passing at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at the age of 75 years. Along with Ken, left with lasting memories are her daughter, Meaghan McMorran; son, Greg (Debbie) McMorran and their children, Alex and Olivia; brother, Terry (Ev) as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Maurice and Grace Winnifred Pickering; sister, Gail Tessier and her father-in-law, Charles McMorran. Marj had a passion for playing bridge and curling, but it was on the golf course where she felt most at home. Marj also enjoyed expressing her creativity through handicrafts, always finding joy in making things with her hands. Above all, Marj cherished time spent with her family. Her warmth, laughter, and love will be deeply missed by all who knew her. The family would like to thank the ICU at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital for the care they provided to Marj. A private family time of remembrance will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Marj’s name may be made directly to the SPCA, 55 Southwest Drive S.W., Medicine Hat, AB, T1A 8E8.

To the McMorran family,
I am so sorry to read of Marj's passing. She will be so missed by everyone who knew her and I know her memory will be in our hearts forever. I curled with and against Marj many times over the past years and I always enjoyed being around her and listening to many stories about her life. I received a few of her decorated Easter eggs and will now remember Marj whenever I look at them. My condolences to you, Ken and to all of your family.

I had the pleasure of playing many rounds of golf with Marj at Ladies InterClub over the years. She always spoke fondly of her family. My condolences to you all on her much too early passing.

Ken and family, so sorry for your loss. Marj will be dearly missed by her family and all the friends who knew her. I spent many winters on the curling ice with Marj and a few rounds of golf in the summer. She made so many lasting friendships with so many people. Sending my condolences 🙏
