Cook Southland Funeral Chapel - Tate(2024)

It is with the heaviest of hearts that the family of Patricia May Tate, announce her unexpected passing on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at the age of 75 years. She was a beloved mother, friend, and cherished member of the Medicine Hat community.

Born and raised in Medicine Hat, Pat was a beacon of kindness and warmth. Her love for gardening was well-known; her garden was always filled with vibrant flowers and lush greenery, a reflection of the beauty she brought into the lives of those around her. She had an extraordinary way with people and animals alike, and her gentle spirit touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Pat was a devoted mother and friend who lived her life with an open heart, always ready with a kind word or a helping hand. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love, generosity, and compassion will continue to bloom in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

She is survived by her children, Michelle and RK along with their families who will hold her memory close, forever.

May she rest in peace and may her garden forever bloom in our hearts. We love you Mom!

So sorry to Pat’s family. We grew up together on the flats & went to school together through grade 12. Then Pat & my husband worked at CF together. Again my condolences.

Deepest condolences Michelle and RK and extended family. I have nothing but fond memories of time spent with Pat over the years and always looked forward to seeing her on visits to Medicine Hat to visit Grandma Quick. Pat always had a warm smile and hugs and had such a kind, compassionate heart. I am forever grateful for the time she spent with Grandma Quick in her final years, especially once in extended care, as I know she loved her niece Pat very much and cherished time with her. Rest in peace dear lady.
