Mrs. Jannett Jane Marie Fournier, beloved wife of Mr. Daniel J. Fournier, passed away in Medicine Hat on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at the age of 81 years.
Another soldier’s wife has passed away after a long battle with ovarian cancer.
Jan accompanied her military husband, Dan, on eleven military moves, doing the packing, unpacking, and putting the kids in the new schools at the new locations. She raised the children while Dan was on maneuver around the world for extended periods of time.
She leaves behind her husband, Daniel; daughter, Cheryl (Scott) Kelly and their children, Mia and Madden as well as her brother, Don and sisters, Donna, Maxine and Cheryl.
Jan was predeceased by her daughter, Kimberly in 2008; son, Daniel in 2016; parents, John and Nora as well as her brothers, Edward and Wayne.
Jan had shown a lot of courage and strength during the past 3 years and is now at peace. She will remain beside her son, Daniel Wayne for eternity. To honour Jan's wishes, no funeral service will be held, but we do invite you to please celebrate her life in your own way.

We wish to send condolences to Dan, Cheryl and family on their loss.. We still laugh at some of the things we did out in Ralston. They are great memories of a wonderful lady. Remember when my father sprayed Jan with the water hose. She was so surprised that he actually did that. Rest in peace Jan.

My deepest sympathy to you Dan and your daughter and family on Jan’s passing. She was a wonderful lady and I often think of the fun times we had together here at the condo and even after you two moved. Lots of laughs and stories were shared. Rest in peace Jan.🙏🏻
