October 10, 1959 ~ September 30, 2022
Inge Louise Piche passed away peacefully with her daughters by her side at St. Joseph’s Home - Carmel Hospice in Medicine Hat on Friday, September 30, 2022, at the age of 62 years. Inge’s memory will be forever cherished in the hearts of her daughters, Melanie (Cory) Bayer, Trudi Piche and Kimberly Piche (Austin Little); step-daughter, Trina Piche and her son, Raven; sister, Mary (Gilles) Scheger as well as numerous cousins and family in England and Alberta. Inge was born and raised in Taber. After graduating in 1977, she moved to Medicine Hat where she gained employment at various places. Inge excelled in an Office Technology course at the Medicine Hat College as she was very smart and had an amazing memory. She spent many years volunteering at her daughter’s schools, church and the senior’s centre. Inge worked at Superstore for the past 14 years where she gained many friendships. Playing tennis, bicycling, reading, skating, walks outside and drinking coffee were just a few of Inge’s hobbies. She was a great Mom who loved her daughters immensely as she devoted the second half of her life to raising them. ‘Inge will always be our sunshine’ as she was very appreciative and treasured the little things in life. She fought her battle with cancer with everything she had and her huge heart and positivity towards life will always be remembered. A Celebration of Inge’s Life will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 - 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Friday, October 7, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Ken Roset officiating. Those wishing to join the family virtually and experience the celebration are invited to watch via Live-Stream and may do so by visiting www.cooksouthland.com and selecting the View Broadcast button on the homepage at service time. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Inge’s name may be made directly to St. Joseph’s Home - Carmel Hospice, 156 - 3 Street N.E., Medicine Hat, AB., T1A 5M1 or to the Margery E. Yuill Cancer Centre (make cheques payable to the Medicine Hat & District Health Foundtaion) 666 - 5 Street S.W., Medicine Hat, AB., T1A 4H6.

Inge and I were best friends from the first day of school in grade 1. We were inseparable. I will always remember how much she cared for people and me. She smiled so much she could light up a room. I've been trying to get a hold of her lately. Now I know why I couldn't. I will never ever forget her. I know she's in the best place because she was one of the best people. I miss her deeply.

I am so sorry for your loss. Your mom was a beautiful soul and I am so grateful to have had her as a friend and colleague. She had a great sense of humour and always kept me on my toes. She loved you all and was proud to be your mom. My last visit with her was precious and priceless. Many hugs as you go forward.

Inge Piche always had a smile on her face when she walked past and said 'hello'. She was kind and
never complained. Inge was truly a part of FE Superstore family. R. I. P.
