It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Edna Doreen Stach (nee Howes). She passed away at the Good Samaritan Southridge Village in Medicine Hat on Sunday July 18, 2021, at the age of 92 years. Edna was born near Success, SK., on November 22, 1928, to Florence and Elmer Howes and raised on the family farm along with her two brothers and four sisters. She married Robert Clarence Stach of Swift Current, SK., on June 4, 1948, and began a life of running a home and raising a family. In September 1962, they moved to Medicine Hat where they continued to live and celebrate 69 years of marriage. Edna enjoyed camping, sewing, cross stitch, reading and “wine time” on her deck listening to the birds, but most importantly she enjoyed raising her children, and the company of her family. Edna is survived by her three children: Larry (Sandy) Stach and their children: Misty (Mike) Stach, Amber (Gary) Cameron and their son, Jax; Diane (Barry) Sulz and their children: Angela Sulz, Stacey (Ryan) Sulz and their daughter Ella; Darcy Stach (Grace) and their children: Jesse (Tanya) Stach and Jason Stach. Edna was predeceased by her loving husband Robert ‘Bob’ Stach. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
My deepest condolences on the loss of your very special and much loved mother and grandmother. May your special memories of her carry you through this difficult time.
Diane, Barry and Family; we are sorry to hear of your Mom’s passing. I know how much she meant to all of you. Thinking of you all at this sad time.
Please accept our condolences. She will be deeply missed but we all have such wonderful memories of her to hold in our hearts. Love and hugs to the family.
Aunt Edna will be greatly missed but her warmth, kindness and gentle spirit will be remembered forever. I was 5 years old when I was the flower girl at her wedding and throughout the ensuing years her attitude toward life, her pride in her family and home, and her gracious hospitality to her friends and acquaintances never wavered or changed. My heart breaks for all of you.
We will all miss Aunt Edna a great deal. We have so many memories of you and your family. Our thoughts are with you at this time and we know that she is now without pain. We love you all.
I'm sorry to here about Edna. Such a beautiful, kind soul. When I'd visit with Grandma I'd always leave her house my heart feeling warmer for doing so.
Spine out of alignment bear hugs to the family.
Diane, Barry and Family, my sincere condolences on the loss of your dear Mother. Your treasured memories will live on forever.
