With heavy hearts, the family of Barry Vincent Wayne Reimer announce his sudden passing. Born in Brandon Manitoba, his childhood was spent in Hilda and Wardlow. As a young man he married and started his family in Brooks, later moving to Eckville, Alberta.
When Barry wasn’t on the job, you would often find him in his garage with friends working on one of his many projects - his own or friends vehicles, stock cars, motor bikes, stereo systems, re-furbishing furniture and even creating home décor. An adrenaline junky, Barry was always drawn towards anything with speed. He loved dirt bikes, drag racing, mud-bogging, and sledding in the mountains. He had many scars to show for his enthusiasm.
Nothing was more important to Barry than his four children; Jacki, Dathan, Tyson and Ashley Reimer. Along with the children, left to mourn his loss is the mother of his children, Ronda Bunney; his mother Sandi Reimer; father, Clarence Reimer; brothers, Terrence (Natalie), Geoff and Quentin (Kerri) Reimer; grandmother, Shirley Dyer as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He is pre-deceased by his grandfather, Bill Dyer and grandparents, Cornelius and Maria Reimer.
A celebration of Barry’s life will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, Medicine Hat on Wednesday, August 19, 2020, at 3:00 p.m. Due to current seating limitations, we ask that you RSVP to Sandi or Ronda and let them know if you plan to attend. For those unable to be there, the Celebration of Barry’s life will be live streamed on the Cook Southland webpage at www.cooksouthland.com as well as recorded.
