I did not know Gerald very well at all. I worked downtown and attended church in his neighbourhood, where he would drop in for coffee and a piece of fruit. I seen the obituary and wanted whomever would be reading this to know that Gerald made an impression on me in the short times that I spoke to him.
    Rest in Peace Gerald.

Just wanting to send my sincere condolences to Gerald's family and friends. I did not know him well, but had the privilage of meeting him a couple of times and right from the start, my first thoughts of him were about how kind of a man he was. Rest peacefully now Gerald.

Sending my deepest condolences to Gerry’s family and friends. I work in the downtown area and though I did not know Gerry he was always kind and polite. Last Thanksgiving while waiting at a red light, Gerry started to approach my vehicle and wave at me. I rolled down my window and he said “I just wanted to say hello and wish you a Happy Thanksgiving.” I said the same to him and he carried on. His thoughtfulness that day warmed my heart and will stay with me. Rest Peacefully Gerry.

This saddens me deeply. I knew Gerry since childhood... had lost track of him for some years, but then reconnected... heard he moved to Medicine Hat... lost track again from there. I always had a special relationship with Gerry... we got along well. He was deeply misunderstood. A poor helpless soul at times. Too bad life couldnt have been kinder. He really was a good guy. R.I.P. my friend.
