Cook Southland Funeral Chapel - Hoffart(2018)

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Terry Lynn Hoffart, beloved wife of Allan Hoffart, announce her passing at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Friday, April 6, 2018, at the age of 55 years. Terry was born in Medicine Hat on June 19, 1962, a daughter to Daniel and Dianne Biggs. She grew up in Medicine Hat where she received her schooling and attended the Medicine Hat College. While attending college, she met Allan and they were later married on June 25, 1988. Their marriage was blessed with the births of their two boys, Dustin and Brady. For many years she worked as a receptionist in a variety of professions and spent the last five years with Palliser Orthodics. Terry was a natural perfectionist and it was evident in all she did. She was a very caring and kind lady who truly believed in helping those in need... whether it be ringing the bells at Christmas for the Salvation Army or supporting underprivileged children, she always put the needs of others first. Terry cherished her family and the memories made and captured them in her scrapbooking in which she loved to do. She will be deeply missed by her husband, Allan and their two boys, Dustin & Brady; her mother, Dianne Biggs; chosen family, Rod and Lorranie Seitz and their children, Darren and Dylan; a brother, Kelly (Vicki) Biggs as well as her nieces and nephews. Terry was predeceased by a son, Richard Kyle Hoffart; brother, Dan Biggs Jr. and her father, Dan Biggs Sr. A Celebration of Terry’s life will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 - 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Thursday, April 12, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Father Tomy Manjaly officiating. Memorial donations in Terry’s name may be made directly to the Medicine Hat & District Health Foundation, 666 - 5th Street S.W., Medicine Hat, Alberta, T1A 4H6.

Terry was such a beautiful lady (inside and out) and friend. We had the privilege of meeting when Dustin and Jennifer started Kindergarten together. We attended many band concerts, and celebrated their high school graduation together. I will cherish so many fond memories of Terry. My deepest condolences to Allan, Dustin, Brady, and extended family and friends. We are never ready to say goodbye to someone we love so much.

    Allan,
It goes without saying just how much Terry will be missed.
The love and devotion you showed by being by her side and looking after her every want and need these past few months was nothing short of incredible. Terry told Shirley on every one of our visits just how much what you did meant to her.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the boys.
    Love,
    Scott and Shirley

To the Hoffart and Biggs families, we are so sorry for your loss. Terry was such a friendly lady, and Ernie has very fond memories of the Biggs family as neighbors while growing up. Allan, Dustin and Brady:
I met Terry when my son Jared started kindergarten with Brady. Terry was a friendly kind lady with a great sense of humour. I enjoyed the opportunities I had to volunteering with her at school. Although I have only seen her on occasion the last few years she was always happy to tell me about her family and was proud of her sons.
We are sorry for your loss and your family shall be in our prayers.
    Kathy and Darren Petersen
