Cook Southland Funeral Chapel - Mlynaryk M.D. F.R.C.P. (c)(2017) Dr. Peter Mlynaryk, retired Gastroenterologist at the Royal Victoria Hospital, passed away peacefully in Medicine Hat, AB., on Saturday, January 14, 2017. He was the beloved husband to Heather Sutherland for 57 years and the loving father of two daughters, Donna (Joe) Harrison of Victoria, BC., and Diane (Terry) Mercer of Medicine Hat. Peter was the dear grandfather of three grandchildren, Terahn Harrison and Tabitha and Colby Mercer. He is also survived by his brother, Walter (Joyce) of Montreal and nephews, Wally, Tim and Terry. Peter’s life will be remembered and his memory cherished without the proceedings of a formal funeral service.

    Dear Mrs. Mlynaryk and Family, Please accept my condolences on the loss of Dr. Mlynaryk. Mary, his cousin, informed me of the sad event. I was one of the nurses that had worked with Dr. Mlynaryk for many years in the GI Unit at the RVH. We all have fond memories of working with him during that time.
