Mr. Mervin John Beyak passed away peacefully at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Saturday, March 8, 2014, at the age of 68 years. Mervin will be forever remembered in the hearts of his children; daughter, Joanne (Keith) Dorner of Lloydminster, SK., their children, Cory, Tyler, Danny and Christine; son, Les (Annette) Beyak, of Medicine Hat, their children, Dylan, Tyson and Michael; daughter, Jacqueline (Bill) Donohue of Medicine Hat, their children, Justin, Mackenzie and William; sister, Marlene (John)?Pulak and their children, Eldon Pulak, Chantel Pulak (Randy Farkas) and their children. Mervin was predeceased by his parents, Steve and Annie Beyak; brothers, Elmer and Harold Beyak. The immediate family shared in a time of prayer at Fifth Avenue Memorial United Church, Medicine Hat, Alberta, on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 7:00 p.m., with Rev. Kevin Johnston officiating. In keeping with Merv’s wishes, there will not be a formal funeral service. A Time of Remembrance will be held at the Riverside Evergreen Chapel, Riverside Road, Dauphin, MB., on May 24, 2014, from 1:00 p.m. - 3 p.m. interment will take place in Dauphin, Manitoba, along side his parents in the family plot.

It was a shock to hear the passing of Mervin. Our heart felt sympathy goes out to you. It was not that long ago that I was on the phone with Mervin. He had asked what is new around Rice Lake.
