It is with sadness that the family of Kathleen (Kay) Violet Zielke, announce her passing while at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Thursday, October 17, 2013, at the age of 83 years.  Kay was born in Lethbridge and raised on a farm near Nemiskam, AB.  Her faith was strong and was a faithful member of the United Churches in the many places that she lived including Lipton and Strasbourg.  For the past two decades she was a dedicated member of the Gordon Memorial United Church in Redcliff.  Kay worked as a clerk as well as keeping her house in order while raising her family.  She made friends easily with her smiling and caring ways.  Kay enjoyed crafts, crochet, knitting and her many church activities.  She enjoyed visiting and her involvement with the Redcliff Seniors and the Gordon Memorial Ladies group.  Kay’s most memorable occasions were the birth of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She treasured her life growing up on the farm and most recently celebrating her 80th Birthday.  Humbly she taught Sunday school, knitted scarves, mitts and prayer shawls as well as visiting the sick as she was a friend to many.  Kay’s memory will be forever treasured in the hearts of her family, daughter, Deborah (Art)?Frischke and their children, Julianna (Randy) White, Carl (Erin) Frischke, and their children, Brody?&?Kaitlyn; son, Ron (Karen) Zielke and their children, Lindsey Ment, and her children, Jayce, Kaden, Nash; Kennedy &?Gaelyn Zielke; son, Cliff Zielke and his children, Randene Zielke (Chris White) and their son Alex; and Sarah Zielke. ; her brothers, Marvin &?Nelson Sullivan.  Kay was predeceased by her husband, John R. Zielke;  parents, Phil &?Pearl Sullivan; sister, Edie Walsh; brothers, Ken &?Wilf Sullivan.  The funeral service will be held at Gordon Memorial United Church, 401 - 2 Street S.E., Redcliff, AB., on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Blaine Schaufele officiating.  Those wishing to pay their respects may do so one hour prior the beginning of the service at 1:00 P.M.  The Interment will take place at the Redcliff Cemetery. If friends so desire, donations may be made directly to the Gordon Memorial United Church, 401 - 2 Street S.E., Redcliff, Alberta  T0J 2P0.

    Deb, Ron, Cliff and families......Our sincere sympathy sent your way. Earl & I have fond memories of when we'd stop in for a short visit on our way home from Calgary. There was alway a coffee brewing and goodies to eat. Love to all. Eleanor & Earl Lampman, SK
