Mr. Kenneth John Grimm, beloved husband of Mrs. Alice Grimm, passed away peacefully at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Sunday, November 6, 2011, at the age of 75 years.  Along with Alice, his loving wife of 54 years, Ken leaves to cherish his memory three children:  Allan (Karin) and family, Chantel (Ernest), Dustin and Dayna;  Brent (Sherry) and family, Colin and Amanda;  Blaine (Karen) and family, Kyle, Ross and Mikayla;  two great-grandchildren, Jade and Ethan;  two sisters, Josephine (Gabe) Sehn and Beatrice Zubot;  one brother, Ed (Del) Grimm;  sisters and brothers-in-law, Jean (Harold) Dechscheimer, Bill Hipkins, Kay (Norm) Kelley, Lillian (Richard) Dietrich, Edward (Irene) Hipkins, Marlene Hipkins, Beverley (John) Scott, Ken Hipkins and David (Carla) Hipkins as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was predeceased by his parents, Cleo and Hannah;  brother-in-law, Carl Zubot;  nephews, Travis and Darcy;  mother and father-in-law, Ted and Margaret Hipkins;  brothers-in-law, Bob Hipkins and Bert Kelley as well as one sister-in-law, Ruby Hipkins.  Kenneth John Grimm was born in Fox Valley, SK. on February 13, 1936, to Cleo and Hannah Grimm.  He lived there into his teen years at which time the family moved to Medicine Hat.  It was in Medicine Hat where Ken met and later married the love of his life, Alice Hipkins, on November 14, 1957.  In his earlier years Ken enjoyed spending time flying his planes, hunting, fishing and making sure to include his boys on as many outings as possible.  Ken loved to spend time with his family, especially the grandkids!  Ken held various positions in the automotive industry through until his retirement in 1980.  He continued to keep busy in retirement running his carwash and working at the Outdoorsman.  Vigil Prayers will be recited at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 - 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Friday, November 11, 2011, at 7:00 P.M.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 238 - 2 Avenue N.E., Medicine Hat on Saturday, November 12, 2011, at 1:00 P.M. with Reverend Father Long Vu celebrant.  Interment will follow at a later date.
