He was predeceased by his parents, Christina and Harl Rowe of Prince Albert, SK. and four brothers, John Douglas, Fred and Robert. Punky was a very family oriented man. He loved family gatherings where he entertained his grandchildren, telling them stories of when he was a kid and a few tall tales too. Punky was a man who loved his job as a Union Insulator. Practically the "I've Been Everywhere Man", he travelled all over Canada as well as the United States to work in gas plants, nuclear plants and pulp mills. This usually entailed packing up the family and hitting the road, but no matter the destination, loved ones followed. He retired in August 2009, at the age of 74. Family would like to thank everyone at the Cancer Clinic and Palliative Care. A celebration of Punky’s life will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 - 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Saturday, June 25, 2011, at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Loren Hosfield officiating. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made to the Medicine Hat Cancer Clinic, 666 - 5 Street S.W.,?Medicine Hat, Alberta, T1A 4H6.
