Gerald Sadler

1946 - 2005

Mr. Gerald Sadler of Medicine Hat, passed away at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Monday, July 4, 2005 at the age of 59 years. Gerald was born at Wynyard, Saskatchewan on April 11, 1946. In his earlier years, he was a truck driver and later became a heavy equipment operator in the construction industry. Gerald often reminisced about his trucking days. He liked to socialize and loved sports... especially football, hockey and coaching baseball. Gerald was an avid Saskatchewan Roughriders fan! As a young father he was faced with raising young children after the passing of his wife. He enjoyed camping and spending time with his family, as they were very important to him. Gerald will be cherished in the hearts of his children, Brian Sadler, Lauralee (Dan) Gagnon, Laurel (Don) Sadler, Sue-Wellyn (Justin) Scott, Brenda-Lee Sadler, Gerald Jr. Sadler and Norman Ducharme; 10 grandchildren, 6 brothers, 2 sisters and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Angie Sadler; a son, Dale Robert Sadler, sister Yvonne Joa; brother John Sadler and his parents, Bert and Liz Sadler. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 - 13th Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Friday, July 8, 2005 from 10:00 a.m. to 10:55 a.m. The Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Barrett Scheske officiating. Cremation will take place following the service.
