Brian Clifford Forester, DD, beloved husband of Sherri Forester, passed away suddenly on Thursday, May 18, 2006, at the age of 64 years. Brian leaves to cherish his memory, three children, Leslie, Jodi and Clifford; two step-children, Jennifer and Scott; his father, Clifford; brother, Ellis in Thunder Bay, Ontario; his sisters; one sister-in-law; brothers-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews. Brian was predeceased by his grandparents; his mother, Lauvaine Keetley and his step-mother, Jean Forester. Brian was born in Thunder Bay, Ontario. On April 1, 2006, he celebrated 50 years in the dental technology business. He started in the business at the age of 15 as an apprentice. He worked in a dental lab at night and went to school during the day. Over the years, he gained knowledge and experience from a handful of well-trained technicians and dentists. Brian always loved the business and worked hard at it his whole life. He obtained his Alberta Dental Technician license and worked as a dental technician. At the University of Alberta, Brian taught undergraduate dental students crown and bridge and occlusion techniques. He received his registered Dental Technician license for Ontario and owned and operated his own dental lab there. He obtained his Certified Denturist license for Alberta in 1987 and since 1996 he has resided in Medicine Hat where he has owned and operated, along with his wife Sherri, Southview Denture Clinic. Ill health forced Brian to slow down and cut back his 70 to 80 hour work week. He was looking forward to retiring in September when he turned 65. Even then he couldn't quite leave the business and wanted to keep his hand in and only see a couple of patients every month. Family, friends, colleagues, former and present patients are all welcome to attend a come and go Memorial Tea which will be held in the Terrace Room at Chinook Village, 2801 - 13 Avenue S.E. on Saturday, June 10, 2006, between 1 pm and 3 pm. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, 124, 430 - 6 Avenue S.E., Medicine Hat, Alberta, T1A 2S8, or to the charity of one's choice.
