Obituary - George Fegirczuk

Mr. George 'Fergie' Fegirczuk, beloved member of the Alfred Egan Home family, passed away peacefully in Bow Island on Saturday, February 14, 2009, at the age of 86 years. George resided at the Michener Centre in Red Deer from 1963 until his move to the Alfred Egan home in Bow Island in August of 2007. George had a strong spirit and was known as a real fighter! Caregivers will always remember his great smile and comical laugh, especially when he was up to something sneaky! He made numerous special relationships while on trips with the staff and other residents and he will be dearly missed. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so starting one hour prior to the Funeral Service which will be held at St. Michael's Catholic Church, 1 Street East, Bow Island, on Friday, February 20, 2009, at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Father Fred Monk officiating. Interment will follow at the Bow Island Cemetery. If friends so desire, memorial tributes in George's name may be made to the Alfred Egan Home Special Purposes Fund, Box 3990, Bow Island, Alberta, T0K 0G0.
