Henri Hank Fouquet

Cook Southland Funeral Chapel - Fouquet(2009)

With sadness, the family of Henri “Hank” Fouquet, beloved husband of Bev Fouquet, announce his unexpected passing at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary on Thursday, July 16, 2009, at the age of 64 years. Hank was born and raised in Willow Bunch, SK. The family later moved to Gravelbourg, SK., where he attended school and graduated grade 12. Hank married the love of his life, Bev Beitz, in Saskatoon, Sk., on April 9, 1966, and together they shared a wonderful 43 years of marriage. Hank enlisted into the Royal Canadian Air Force and proudly served our country for 30 years, retiring as a Chief Warrant Officer. One of his greatest achievements was receiving the Canadian Forces Declaration with Clasp. His humorous, fun-loving nature was welcomed by the family even through the jokes and pranks he liked to play on them. Hank was forever faithful and loving to his family and close friends. He enjoyed sharing his talents by playing the guitar and singing, especially while listening to Country music. Some of his favorite things to do included fishing, camping, hunting and time spent on the computer. He will especially be remembered for rolling down the hill at Lightening Lake, and dancing the twist at Lori’s wedding. Hank will be forever missed by his loving wife, Bev; son, Darcy; daughter, Lori (Shane) Falk; two grandson’s, Brandon and Tyler Falk, and his favorite companion Sadie. He is survived by his siblings, Alice (Alphonse) McGillis, John (Helen) Fouquet, Jackie (Norm) LaRochelle, Marcelle (Alvin) Weninger and Ray (Gail) Fouquet. He is also survived by Gerry Campbell, Gene (Anne) Beitz, Jim (Rose) Beitz, Judy (Jeff) Norgard, Gary (Gail) Beitz, Fern (Keith) Byers as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Hank was predeceased by his parents, Emile and Antoinette, and his in-laws, Alex and Leah Beitz.

Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 - 13 Street S.W., on Tuesday, July 21, 2009, between 7:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and again one hour prior to the celebration of his life.

A Celebration of Hank’s life will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, July 22, 2009, at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Father Reg Alcock officiating. If friends so desire, memorial tributes in Hank’s name may be made directly to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Alberta, 124, 430 - 6 Avenue S.E., Medicine Hat, AB., T1A 2S8.
