Mrs. Sylvia Mary French, beloved wife of the late Mr. William (Bill) French of Medicine Hat, passed away peacefully while surrounded by her family, at the Havenview Nursing Home on Saturday, January 15, 2011, at the age of 90 years. She will be forever loved and her memory always cherished by her three daughters, Carole (Dwayne) Myers, Sandy (Leo) Laurikainen, Kathy Heringer all of Medicine Hat; her four grandchildren, Sarah (Cam) Heringer of Lethbridge, Rachael (Kyle) Schmidt, Stephen (Naquita) Heringer of Edmonton, and Amy Myers of Toronto, as well as seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Bill French; parents, Cecil and Florence Hill and brother, Arthur (Rose) Hill. Sylvia’s family would like to thank the Havenview staff who looked after our dear mother with such compassion these past few years. We greatly appreciate their dedication to Mum’s well being. A private family time of remembrance will be held to honour Sylvia’s life. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Alzheimer Society of Alberta, 401D - 3 Street S.E., Medicine Hat, Alberta T1A 0G8.
