Obituary - Philomena Frey

Mrs. Philomena Frey, beloved wife of Mr. Frank Frey, passed away peacefully at the Rutherford Heights Retirement Residence in Edmonton on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at the age of 96 years. Philomena leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Frank; two daughters, Isabelle (Camile) Morissette and Kathy (Chuck) Kluss; son-in-law, Karl Kundert; daughter-in-law, Joyce Frey; 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her daughter, Lorene (Karl), son, Matt (Joyce) and grandson, Larry Kundert. She was born in Fox Valley and this is where she and Frank settled and farmed for many years. They retired to Medicine Hat and for the last couple of years resided in Edmonton. Philomena and Frank were married for over 76 years. She was a great cook and loved music. Philomena will be deeply missed by all those who were lucky enough to have known and loved her. Relatives and friends are invited for Prayers at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel on Friday, June 3, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Parish, 1451 Strachan Road S.E., Medicine Hat, on Saturday, June 4, 2011 at 10:30 A.M. with Reverend Father Roque Pereira celebrant. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.
