Cook Southland Funeral Chapel - Ehry(2006)

"Death is a sleep and when you wake in the resurrection you will be united with your wife and loved ones. It is a beautiful promise from God and he never fails us." Mr. Andrew Ehry of Medicine Hat peacefully passed away while surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, March 4, 2006 at the age of 86 years. Andrew's memory will be cherished by his daughter, Patricia (Robert) Braun of Calgary and his son, Richard (Sharon) Ehry of Medicine Hat; 5 grandchildren who have the honour of being his pallbearers, Rhenda Braun, Stacy (Errol) Penny, Jason (Keri) Ehry, Christopher (Kalay) Ehry, Raegan (Chris) Leronowich; 9 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren and two sisters, Lynn Miller and Margaret Dionne. He was predeceased by his wife Margaret in 1993; his parents John and Katherina Ehry and 7 brothers and sisters. Andrew was born on January 19, 1920 on the family homestead at Lampman, Saskatchewan. He attended the University at Regina, where he met and married Margaret Ebonal. They raised their family in Saskatoon where he managed Sterling Shoes for many years. After the passing of his wife Margaret, he moved to Medicine Hat to be nearer his family. He loved to play baseball as a young man and his passion for the Toronto Blue Jays was unwavering. He loved to go hunting, fishing and golfing. Not only did he get a 'hole-in-one', but he got four of them! All his grandchildren and great-grandchildren put a twinkle in his eye when he saw them. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Relatives and friends are invited for Prayers at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 - 13th Street S.W., on Friday, March 10, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 238 - 2nd Ave. N.E. on Saturday, March 11, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Father John Maes celebrant. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery at a later date. If friends so desire, memorial tributes in Andrew's name may be made directly to the SPCA, P.O.
