Mrs. Margaret Ann Douglas, beloved wife of Mr. Ron Douglas, passed away at Foothills Hospital in Calgary on Sunday, September 2, 2007, at the age of 70 years. Ann leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Jill Leahy and her children, Tony and Kara and their father Bernie Leahy; Susan Wright and her son Jesse; son, Paul (Kaylene) Douglas and their daughter, Elle. She is also survived by her brother, Robert (Gail) Pender; sister, Lorna (Reg) Phaff; sister-in-law, Irene Pender; cousins, Marg and Alice Middleton as well as numerous other extended family. Ann was predeceased by her parents, Winifred and Percy Pender and one brother, Hugh Pender. Family and friends gathered privately to celebrate Ann's life at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel on Friday, September 7, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with Gary W. Goran officiating. Interment followed at Hillside Cemetery. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation Of Alberta, 124, 430 - 6 Avenue S.E., Medicine Hat, Alberta, T1A 2S8.
