Mr. Wells Darling, beloved husband of Mrs. Margaret Darling of Medicine Hat, passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2009, at the age of 83 years. Along with Marg, Wells leaves to cherish his memory: daughters, Sharon (Barry) Burns of Kingston, ON., and Nancy (Hal) Osborn of Lethbridge, AB.; son, Ray (Debbie) Darling of White Rock, B.C.; step-sons, Grant (Connie) Felesky of Dubai, U.A.E., and Blair (Jaquie) Felesky of Rocky Mountain House, AB.; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Verna (Al) Vader of Toronto, ON., and Elinor Mitchell of Los Angeles, CA. as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Wells and Anna Darling; daughter, Wendy Darling; brother, Stanley Darling, and step-son, Troy Felesky. In 1975, Wells moved to Medicine Hat on a business venture with Hat Development. He stayed busy with numerous business developments in Medicine Hat, and for a short time, even tried his hand at farming and ranching. Before retiring at the age of 80, along with Marg, Wells owned and operated the Liquor Kabinet on Carry Drive. He will be dearly remembered by his family and many friends. A Come and Go Celebration of Wells' life will be held at the Medicine Hat Lodge, Ballrooms B and C (TransCanada Highway and Dunmore Road S.E.) on Friday, August 7, 2009, between 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. Those attending are encouraged to share special memories of Wells throughout the celebration. If friends so desire, memorial tributes in memory of Wells may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Alberta, 124, 430 - 6 Avenue S.E., Medicine Hat, Alberta, T1A 2S8; the Kidney Foundation of Canada, P.O. Box 20143, Medicine Hat, Alberta, T1A 8M4 or the Medicine Hat Cancer Clinic, 666 - 5 Street S.W., Medicine Hat, Alberta, T1A 4H6.
