Mrs. Freda Isobel Doling, beloved wife of the late Mr. Herbert Doling, passed away at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Monday, December 14, 2009, at the age of 75 years. Freda Isobel (nee Schreiner) was born June 10, 1934, at their home near Gravelbourg, SK. She grew up and went to school in the Vanguard area. Freda married Herbert Doling on June 13, 1952, and moved to his farm at Aneroid, SK. They farmed at Aneroid until 1974, and then moved to the Weyburn area where they bought an Abattoir. They continued to run the family business until her husband, Herb, passed away. Freda was a loving and a devoted wife and mother. She loved having her family together and would plan family gatherings for all occasions. She moved to Medicine Hat in 1988, to be closer to her family where she resided until her passing. Freda was very out going. She loved rodeos, camping and all family occasions. Every Christmas was very special for Freda as decorating her house and having her family together was something she looked forward to every year. Freda is survived by her children, Chelaine Louise Doling of Langley, B.C., Blaine Marcel (Dawn) Doling of Seven Persons, AB., Blake Morris Doling of Tilley, AB.; her loving grandchildren, Cheryl Berg, Jessica McKenzie, Mike Doling, Shanley Doling and Kohl Strawford as well as her great-grandchildren, Kyler Doling and Morgan McKenzie. Her memory will also be cherished by her sister, Lornie Talbott. Freda was predeceased by her parents, Mathias and Evelyn Schreiner and her loving husband, Herbert Doling. Those wishing to pay their respects are invited to do so starting one hour prior to service time. The Funeral Service will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 - 13th Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Friday, December 18, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Loren Hosfield officiating.
